Twin Stick Shooter Rogue Game With Daft Guns.

Obviously I was going to grab this one Biggrin A week in... and well, it's not my favourite in the genre. Maybe I just suck at these kind of games these days.

My favourite Rogue-like is Rogue Legacy. It starts hard, but you buy upgrades as you go along which make each return to the castle a little easier. Your character improves as your skill improves. It's a nice complimentary system.

In Gungeon (and I still can't say Gungeon without smirking) you have no persistant character upgrades. You die, you go back to the start. You get some kind of currency to spend on guns in the hub world, but they simply unlock them as potential drops in the dungeon. There's a load of guns, and I've seen hardly any of them to date.

Game looks great, I like the art style, and it's fun, lots of little touches on the animated sprites.

Worth a play, but I'm not sure how much more I'll put in to it.
