I'm on a little mission to find a little boardgame I can play at home with the family Labyrinth at Xmas and have recently had a few games.

Apparently this is a classic game, but I'd never played it before. Well, I'm glad I "discovered" it as it's a lot of fun! I thought the mechanic wouldn't work, but how wrong was I. Put little cardboard single map tiles on to the board, each player takes turn sliding a row, pushing one tile off the board and replacing it with another. The objective is to make a path to a collectable item on the map.

Simple and effective. If you're looking for a quick family game, you'd do a lot worse than this. Games are short, setup time is short, and there's just enough strategy there to have a bit of fun Biggrin
